My second Earth Frequency Festival, and first as part of their media team. Four sweltering days of dancing, mind-blowing visual art, eye-opening workshops, capturing artists and patrons in their most joyous moments, communal connections, and trying to catch up with the roving fire hose. I learned a bunch and witnessed a lot of awesome, heartfelt moments; the most notable being the fire performers, First Nations dancers during the opening ceremony, a dynamic vocal display by Hugo and Treats, the ever-fun and filthy Mood Swing and Chevy Bass, and the ecstatic energy unleashed on the dance floor to the honey-sweet sound of Shallie Campbell.
